התחלתי ללמד בסוף שנות ה90 ומאז אני מלמד הרבה ובקביעות. לימדתי ואני מלמד כיום במגוון מוסדות, בינהם מהמוצלחים בארץ, כמו גם באופן פרטי
I started teaching in the late 90th and since I teach a lot and regularly. I taught and I teach in a variety of institutions, including the most successful in the country, as well as privately.
I teach recorder at all levels, and also teaches piano, violin and guitar at the early years. Sometimes I also teach theory.
My teaching method includes striving for fulfillment of individual potential and striving for excellence. I believe, and have gathered evidence on the ground for that, that anyone can learn playing and enjoy what the playing gives him. There are many collateral benefits to music, and I won’t go into a studies quoting, but no doubt it gives our lives many dimensions of pleasure, comfort and support and emotional content, and engaging challenge and expression, providing inspiring, enlightening and preliminary, enriching and fun experiences.
Anyone can engage in playing, whether it goes easily or whether one has some natural gaps to complete. The degree of pleasure does not necessarily correlate with the opening state, and the degree of progress and persistence in any case depend on training, which is a must in my opinion, because without that approach not only students won’t realize their potential, but would get stuck in place, and therefore almost inevitably get bored and/or frustrated. Before starting to learn to play better think if you have time during the week and a desire not only to get to the lesson, but also to invest in training, at least to some extent, but seriously.
My teaching method is based on fluent sheet music reading, so that a person can access and read tunes like he reads stories to tell, and of course the development of the technical capabilities of the instrument playing. I talk a lot about music accents and development of musical understanding, but also very carefully about the accuracy of the information we get from the score. I use imagination and expression and improvisation development, but also explains how to make things acceptable and explains theoretical foundations behind the written or improvised music. This is, in general, my way.
