English follows Hebrew
Light music is a literal translation from Hebrew to a term that is a bit odd, considering that it should be opposed to the serious and “heavy” classical music as a generic name for any other music style. Odd, because the boundaries are not always clear, and there are lots of cross-overs between the genres, and mainly – because just as classical music is not necessarily serious and heavy (and there are numerous examples for that) so of course all other genres have considerable dimensions of heaviness and seriousness. However, I find that this division serves me well when I try to categorize my activities in general. So, along with my performances in traditional concerts (mainly of Baroque music) or noted compositions of mine, I am playing concerts and recordings for and with a wide variety of artists and bands of “light” music in a variety of styles, as well as personal works of mine in these areas. For example, I have a touch in the fields of electronic music, avant-garde, pop and rock, blues and jazz, and various types of world music, and I bring with me a special mix of worlds I touch into many productions. Here are some examples of different styles from what I do that certainly can be included under the heading “light music”
